She is an inspirational teacher, a gifted mathematician, an outstanding leader, and the most hard-working teacher I have ever met. She is relentless in striving to help pupils achieve, and her patience has no bounds.
Professional Recognition
She is one of the most dedicated, committed, and hard-working teachers I have worked with in my career of over 30 years.
A highly professional, committed, and innovative educator whose integrity, commitment, and subject-matter expertise have been of immense benefit to our organisation.
Always very committed to research-led teaching with a robust understanding of issues relating to international perspectives in education. Highly able to make critical appraisal of research literature and make an original contribution to the field.
She sets high standards for herself and is a reflective practitioner. An exceptional role model who listens carefully to others and is able to work with them to raise standards. Outstanding at breaking down topics so that learning is developmental for all students.

Performance Review Observation
Observed with the lowest-attaining teaching group
The observation noted very high levels of engagement, courtesy, collaboration, and cooperation. Tasks were found to be challenging and accurately matched to student needs. Lessons were well judged with imaginative teaching strategies. Expectations were consistently high, with expert use of questioning to probe understanding and identify misconceptions. All learners were described as enthusiastic and keen to progress.
Parent Perspectives
By far the best teacher we have ever had. Hema worked with my two sons at different points during secondary school, one with ADHD and the other mathematically gifted but unmotivated. She has an extraordinary ability to inspire a genuine love of learning, not only for maths but for learning itself, and helped both of them realise their full potential. We remain deeply grateful for the lasting impact she had on both of them.
